Description About L-Arabinose
L-Arabinose is a naturally occurring isomer and is one of the components of plant polysaccharides. Most bacteria contain an inducible arabinose operon that encodes a range of enzymes and transporters that allow L-arabinose to be used as the sole carbon source in microbial culture.
L-Arabinose is five carbon atoms of the rare function of sugar with no calories and half sweetness of normal sugar, which is distilled fruit and coarse grain hulls, it is a low-calorie sweetener.It’s easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol.Its solubility is lower then granulated sugar.
L-Arabinose is used as a substrate to identify, differentiate and characterize pentose sugar isomerase(s). L-Arabinose is used in the bioproduction of L-ribose.
